Feta Parcels


Feta Parcels

This dish is a very simple Greek starter. The main ingredient is Feta Cheese and Puff pastry but you can easily substitute Puff pastry with phyllo pastry. 

  •  2 sheets of puff pastry/blatterteig
  •  1 big block of feta cheese
  •  1 pack of fresh basil/parsley
  •  2 table spoons of sesame seeds
  •  Pinch of salt.

1. Preheat the oven to 250° for 10 minutes
2. Line a baking paper on a tray and lay one sheet of puff pastry on the paper
3. Crumble the feta all over the pastry and sprinkle the fresh herbs on that. 
4. Cover the whole cheese with another puff pastry and press it a little bit down. 
5. Brush the pastry with water, sprinkle the sesame seeds and a bit of salt on that. 
6. prick the pastry with a fork, make some rectangle marks on the pastry and bake it in the oven for 20 minutes. 
7. Break it into pieces and serve it as an appetiser or even a finger food.
