Apple on toast

Here is a super simple breakfast for the fall days, when the apples at the best. Everyone loves this at home and its warm too. I don't even bother peeling the apples and trust me it tastes better.

Sometimes I take about 3 apples and 2 pears but it’s entirely your choice.


- 4 Apples, washed and sliced with peels on them (the healthier way)
- 1 tbsp of butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon powder
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- if the apples are too sweet, you could also take a few drops of lime juice, it also helps not to discolour the apple.


1.Heat a non stick pan and melt the butter in it
2.Add the apples and all the other ingredients and cook them on a medium high heat, until you see the sugar is forming into caramel
3.While this is cooking, start preparing the toasts, 2 for each person , so 8 toasts altogether
4.Top the toasts with apples and garnish with a mint leaf if you have some.
5. Enjoy, keep one extra toast to clean the caramel and the sauce left in the pan, M loves to do that.
